I have been to Phuket many times before and this was the first time my girlfriend had been there. During my other visits I stayed in Bang Tao and Patong Beach. This time I accidentally came across the Impiana Villas Kata Noi (near Kata Beach)while wanting to book a hotel stay at the Impiana in Kuala Lumpur.

Lo and behold I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing property with sepcatcaular views of the Andaman sea. The staff of Impiana were immaculate and most of them had a decent command of english so it wasnt difficult communicating with them. We had a personal butler called Kai who is one of the most genuine, sincere and caring staff at the property i have encountered througout my travels. Chart our driver was equally pleasant. During our stay we mentioned it was our birthdays (4 th of July) to the driver and later that evening when they served us our evening cocktails, to our surprise Kai presented to us our birthday ice-cream birthday cake which we took two pieces and asked the staff to share as a token of appreication. They were really generous in giving a whole cake. To me the servcie was already great and unobtrusive from the start, Kai paid great attention to our meals and always asked if we needed transportation or if we were going to have our meals in the villa or outside.

All the villas had its own infinity pool much to my delight as I love sunbathing. My girfriend was not so keen so she chilled out on the sundeck where there was shade and a ceiling fans just in case it got too hot. The hotel also had piped in music to all sections of the villa, the pool also had a little jacuzzi corner. The living room had beautifl view of the beach and ocean while the dining area was perfect for evening sunset dinners. The living room and bedroom both had an LCD TV so I could catch the World Cup...Germany vs Argentina! The rooms were well furnished, spacious and elegantly designed as well. The bathroom was huge with separate rain shower, bath tub and toilet area. A huge warddrobe area and his/hers amenities, perfect as I did not have to fight with my girlfriend over the basin.

The loaction of Impiana Kata Noi is perfect if you do not like the hustle and bustle of Patong beach with all the touts and harrassment from cab drivers. Kata Beach is more private and upscale with equally good restaurants and shops.

Kudos to the villa manager and her team especially Kai the butler. I am already making arrangements for my return trip.
